Cost of car alarm installation at Best buy?
according to them, you can buy one from their website and take it in to get install. its says its " free" but of course there are " additional costs." I know when i got a cd player it was like $60 more by the time they charged me for all the chords and what not. How for the car alarm and keyless entry installation? i own a scion tc
What other parts other than the actual alarm do I need to buy before a car alarm installation?
I just bought a new car alarm for my truck. It is an Autopage RS 900. Some of my friends told me that i have to buy some other parts that I need before installing it. The problem is that neither could tell what those parts were. Can anyone provide an especific list of these items??PS. its a 2005 jeep grand cherokee limitedplease and thank you
Car alarm installation question?
im trying to install a car alarm on a 02 civic manual transmission . i haven't connected any wires but i have tested every wire for the connection. 1 on the alarm manual it says park light 10 amp positive output to activate park light i tested the wires there are 2 identical red black wires when the parking light is off the multmeter reads 0v for both , and when the park light is on, one of the wires read 12v and the other reads 150 mv. which one do i connect it to?2 the Tach A C i think it means the remote start it says IMPORTANT never install automatic transmission module into manual transmission vehicle the module is for automatic transmission . this just means that it may cause damage to the objects surrounding the car if i don't put it in neutral right?3 also what is the ground when running starter kill output active during remote start what does it do and where do i connect the wire?
Car alarm installation?
I would like to better understand what the installer is telling me about my alarm system in a 2001 GMC Sierra. First off I was looking at a viper remote start with a two way pager and that is what this is based off of. What I would like to know is where do the transponder bypass modules or passkey interface modules tie into the whole mix and what is there function? Also, how do they help speed up the installation time? If you have any good links that would be great too
Car alarm installation question?
Hi, I have an old van that I'd like to hook a Python 660XP to, however, the doors do NOT trigger the dome lights. The lights are functional by switch only. Does anyone have any alternate methods of triggering the doors without using the standard dome light method? Thanks Sorry, but car audio was the closest category I could find.... Oh, and I know how to use Google, so please don't embarrass yourselves by " answering" with that.....
