How long do i have to have geek squad install my car alarm after purchase?
a bought a car alarm at best buy a few days ago and want to get it installed but since i work in the morning till night i can't find the time. so is there a certain length of time that i have to have geek squad install it. i still have the receipt.
Possible solution to disable car alarm for 1999 Montero Sport?
I have changed the battery to my 1999 Montero Sport and it doesn't not want to turn on. I believe I have to do something with the red LED light located next to my steering column. I just do not know how to disable my car alarm factory alarm using this light indicator, which i believe doubles as a valet switch. Please help.

I got a new car and noticed a red blinking light under my dash. I felt it, and it felt like i could pinch push the light button as if it were a button. So i did.... Now my car alarm wont chirp or beep when bumped into or the handle is tried. When i got my windows tinted someone told me it was in VALET MODE. So i did a little research. And i am not sure what brand my alarm is. I do NOT have the keypad on my key ring. There is no switch. Just this button to my knowledge. The button is on the back of the light. I dont know if this helps, but i have a 4 door 2004 ford focus. It is a very nice alarm. Again im not sure what brand. But it has a nice sensor. If i tap the hood lightly, it will beep once. If i bump it kind of tough, it has a 3 second beep. And if i hit the car hard, it goes off full force. Also, if you try the handles while it is locked it beeps. Im not sure what to do. I just bought a 1999 Toyota Corolla and there is a red light on the dash by the windshield. Also there is a light on the console that is label security. Can you tell me anything about it? Why does my car alarm go off every time someone opens the door?
my previous car didn't have an alarm, and i just got a 2000 camry. almost every time someone opens the doors the alarm goes off, but not every time. i know a lot of other people with alarms and they don't do this. am i doing something wrong or is it malfunctioning? and can i make it stop?oh, and im pretty sure it is a factory alarm.
Will my car alarm go off if they use a shaved key to break in?
I have a '97 Honda Accord and I just had a Viper Alarm put on it.The alarm I got has a screen that will show me what's happening if the alarm is going off but it's kind of pointless if it won't go off if they use a shaved key right?

I got my car back from being repaired. i noticed that the time was changed indicating that the battery was unplugged while it was getting repaired. i also noticed that my alarm was doing anything. The horn is fine. i went to the local autoparts to get the remote checked and they told me it was fine too. they told me to look on the internet to find on how to reset the factory alarm. i could not find anything. Toad car alarm problem?
i have a toad alarm on my scooby, whenever i go outside to start the car there is a strange sort of electrical buzzing sound coming from the car, i know its alarm related because when i press the fob it gets quieter. i have tried disconnecting the battery for a while and it still does it after. i changed the battery about a month ago so i know its not that. where is the sounder in the car? when i popped the bonnet the sound is coming from somewhere underneath the airbox filter.BASICLY ANYONE GOT A SCOOBY???
Car Alarm & Power-lock installation in a Escort Wagon?
I'm not a huge car guy, but I'm trying to learn. So please don't just say " have someone else do it" because you will NOT get chosen for best answer.Anyway, I need to know some info about installing car alarms and power locks into a 95 escort wagon.Can I install an alarm and then later down the road install power locks? Or do I have to do it all at once?Is there anything special about Escort Wagons that will make installing an alarm or power locks difficult or strange? Could I just look up videos on how to install these?Whats the most affordable alarm system out there? What does it come with? Needs to come with all the wires and parts for the job.I would also like to put a blinking light in the cabin to deter intruders. Is there anything I have to be concerned with? Air bags maybe?One last thing, what kind of tools will I need?? And maybe why I need them??
PROBLEM WITH CAR ALARM...........?
I have a Black Widow car alarm that makes noise while I am driving. Ok so first of all when I unlock the car and get in and start it, the car alarm tends to make an unlock and lock sound when the car is started. What do u think the problem is? Thanks.
